Paterson Exterior Maintenance – Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

  • “Company” refers to Paterson Exterior Maintenance.

  • “Customer” refers to the person or entity booking the service.

  • “Services” refers to any exterior cleaning work carried out by the Company.

2. Services

The Company provides exterior cleaning services including, but not limited to:

  • Window cleaning

  • Frames, sills, and doors

  • Pressure Washing

  • Garden Maintenance

  • Gutter/Facia/Soffit Cleaning

All services will be agreed prior to commencement. The Company reserves the right to amend the method of cleaning where necessary for safety or effectiveness.

3. Quotations and Pricing

  • All quotes are provided based on the information available at the time.

  • The Company reserves the right to amend pricing if:

    • Property condition differs significantly from initial assessment

    • Access issues arise

    • Additional time, labour, or materials are required

  • First-time cleans or heavily soiled properties may be charged at a higher rate.

  • Regular maintenance pricing applies only where cleans are carried out at agreed intervals.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due within 48 hours of completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, cash, or Direct Debit.

  • The Company reserves the right to:

    • Charge interest or late fees on overdue payments

    • Suspend or withdraw services for non-payment

    • Recover outstanding debts through legal means, with recovery costs added to the balance

5. Access and Missed Appointments

  • The Customer must provide safe, clear, and unobstructed access to all required areas.

If access is not available:

  • The appointment may be skipped and charged at the Company’s discretion

  • The service will move to the next scheduled cycle

The Company is not responsible for incomplete work due to restricted access.

6. Cancellations and Scheduling

  • Customers must provide reasonable notice to cancel or reschedule services. Latest 8am of the morning that the work is scheduled to be completed.

  • Failure to do so may result in:

    • A missed appointment fee

    • Loss of regular service slot

Repeated cancellations may result in termination of regular service.

7. Weather Conditions

The Company reserves the right to reschedule services due to unsafe or unsuitable weather conditions, including but not limited to:

  • High winds

  • Heavy rain

  • Ice or freezing temperatures

Rescheduled services will be carried out as soon as reasonably possible.

8. Complaints and Re-Cleans

  • Any dissatisfaction must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.

  • The Company will inspect and, where appropriate, rectify issues at no additional cost.

  • Claims made after 24 hours will not be accepted, as external factors beyond the Company’s control may affect results.

9. Liability and Damage

  • The Company will take all reasonable care while carrying out services.

However, the Company shall not be liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage to glass, frames, seals, or property

  • Damage caused by defective or poorly maintained fixtures

  • Water ingress due to faulty seals or structural defects

  • Cosmetic changes such as staining, oxidisation exposure, or spotting revealed during cleaning

The Company’s liability is strictly limited to the value of the service provided.

10. Health and Safety

  • The Company reserves the right to refuse or cease work where conditions are deemed unsafe.

  • The Customer must:

    • Secure pets

    • Remove hazards Inc Dog Waste

    • Ensure working areas are safe and hygienic

Failure to meet these requirements may result in cancellation of the service.

11. Regular Service Agreement

  • Customers on a scheduled cleaning cycle agree to maintain the agreed frequency.

  • Skipped cleans may result in:

    • Additional charges due to build-up of dirt

    • Reclassification as a first clean

The Company reserves the right to adjust pricing where regularity is not maintained.

12. Termination of Services

The Company reserves the right to terminate services at any time where:

  • Payment terms are breached

  • Access is repeatedly unavailable

  • There is abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour

  • Health and safety risks are present

Any outstanding balances remain payable immediately.

13. Data Protection

Customer information will be used solely for the purpose of providing services, invoicing, and communication.
The Company will not share personal data with third parties without consent unless required by law.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a service with Paterson Exterior Maintenance, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
